I Am Me Mentors’ college-readiness & counseling department offers 1:1, semi-private and group counseling (see College Bound Academy tab) to students grades 7-12 or anyone headed towards 2 or 4 year universities in the U.S.. Each of our counselors carries over 12 years of experience and a relevant masters or PhD degree, consistently growing professionally through certificates, up-to-date research and co-counselor collaboration. We allow passion development to pervade our work so there is a clear light at the end of the tunnel guiding students (even those applying undeclared). As a cooperative of millennial educators of mixed East and South Asian descent, one of our key niches in college counseling is how up-to-date we are in assessing admissions officers ever-changing essay prompts and correlating hidden values, most recently and thankfully, heading in the direction of valuing student voice, leadership, advocacy, social justice, self-awareness and intersectional awareness.
I Am Me Mentors supports students of all ages in discovering their authentic selves through personalized mentorship sessions. We are committed to facilitating the intense transformations students undergo in a variety of circumstances across the lifespan. We believe that all learners will not only need to have a strong sense of self, but also have a strong profile to prove that their colleges and jobs of choice are a “best-fit” for them. From entrance essay mentoring to holistic support in college and graduate school applications, to top-notch tutoring and career counseling, as well as passion, curriculum development and DEI family coaching, we team with organizations and families to identify and meet our students’ diverse needs.
Our services include passion development, college research, college essay mentoring, and study skills & time management coaching.
