Cooperative Education

Building Power Through
Collective Learning

CCW provides comprehensive education and training to support cooperative development at every stage. Our programs combine practical skill-building with movement-building strategies, creating pathways for communities to build lasting wealth through cooperative ownership.

Why Worker Cooperative Ownership Matters

Cooperative 101s

We offer in-person and online introductions to cooperative businesses. These sessions allow everyone on your team to get on the same page about the purpose and value of the cooperative business model, and we strongly recommend a training session before you begin co-op development.

You can find our next Co-op 101 listed in our upcoming events or reach out to our team to request a Co-op 101 just for your group.

Co-op Development & Leadership Training

Formerly called Train the Trainer, this four-part leadership development program prepares community leaders to advance cooperative models. Over 28 hours, participants gain:

Deep understanding of cooperative principles and development

Practical facilitation and training skills

Knowledge of cooperative business models and governance

Tools for inclusive decision-making and conflict resolution

Strategies for community outreach and engagement

Project development and group management tools

We are currently able to offer this training as a fee for service. Reach out if you’d like to bring this intensive training to your community.
