The Colorado Worker Co-op Conference Satellite Gathering at the Colorado People's Center on September 26th, 2026 was an overwhelming success, bringing together over 57 worker-owners, advocates, and leaders to strengthen our regional movement. Linked directly with the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives national conference, this powerful event blended local strategies with national insights to deepen democratic governance, foster cross-sector collaboration, and encourage shared learning across our community.

‍

Notably, Denver stood out as the largest satellite gathering anywhere outside of the main national conference, a testament to the vibrant momentum and commitment of our local co-op ecosystem!

‍

This impactful gathering was made possible through dedicated leadership and strong community support. We extend our deepest gratitude to our facilitators (both incredible local cooperatives!), Spring Up who presented on Generative Conflict and Accountability and Dystopian Times on Movement Building and cooperatives, for expertly guiding our sessions and creating an engaging, collaborative space. We also want to thank our generous sponsors, Fort Collins Community Action Network, Pote Law, MEDLab, US Federation of Worker Cooperatives, and Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, whose investment made this event possible. Together, we are building a more equitable, democratically run economy across Colorado and beyond.

‍

Building on that momentum, we launched our new bilingual Learning Management System with over five courses, including Co-op 101 in Spanish and English and essential employee-ownership skills. We've been working on this initiative to increase and scale access to worker cooperative education, and it feels wonderful to have it up and going. You can access the learning platform here: https://ccw.thinkific.com/

This past quarter, we released our State of Denver Area Worker Cooperative Sector Report in Spanish and English. You can download the report here: https://www.communitywealth.org/blog-posts/worker-co-ops-are-growing-in-colorado-heres-what-our-new-report-shows
